A step-by-step guide for Conservative Party of BC members
Before you begin, make sure you have the following ready:
Starting April 27, 2026, you will receive an email from the BC Conservative Party with your verification link.
This email contains your personal verification link. Click the link to begin.
Clicking the link will open a secure webpage powered by Persona, the identity verification service used by the Conservative Party of BC.
You do not need to create an account or remember a password.
You will be asked to upload or photograph your government-issued ID.
You will be asked to take a selfie. This selfie will be verified against the photo identification you submit to prevent fraud, and will be stored during the verification process to ensure that a person does not try to vote more than once.
You may be asked to provide further identification to confirm your Canadian citizenship or Permanent Residency, such as a Canadian Passport, NEXUS card, PR card, or birth certificate. You may also be asked to provide further identification to confirm your residential address, such as a BC Hydro statement.
Anyone under the age of 18 will be asked to provide an email address for their parent or guardian to consent to the collection of the minor’s personal data.
Once you have completed all steps, submit your verification. You will see a confirmation of your submission on your screen.
If your verification is successful, you will receive an email letting you know that your verification is complete and your voting credentials will be sent via email starting on May 9. Voting then opens on May 23.
If there are any issues with your submission, it will be automatically sent for Adjudication by the neutral Returning Officer. The Returning Officer will review the documents you provide and either accept or reject your verification credentials.
If your submission is accepted, you will receive an email letting you know that your verification is complete.
If your submission is rejected, you will receive an email with brief reasons as to why. You will then have the opportunity to re-try verifying your identity up until verification closes on May 20.
Once your identity has been successfully verified:
